VW Group Profit By Brand : 2015-17

tháng 5 15, 2018

Profit is a sensitive area of company business and many companies don't break it down. To their credit, VW does just that. The figures below excludes its China operations for some brands as that involves joint venture partners.

The chart below shows sales in thousands, profit in millions of Euros and profit per car, again in Euros.
Interestingly the overall picture is good, with the VW brand

Porsche Model Production : 2016-17

tháng 5 09, 2018

If one thinks of Porsche, sports cars come to mind. SUVs are in fact the majority of vehicles made. Any manufacturer who doesn't have them in their range is very brave. Mclaren is the only company that has no plans to get into SUVs.

Porsche hit the 250k mark in 2018, a record number. The new Panamera was the reason for the increase. The sports cars added just under a quarter of the production

Yes, while Mclaren has said it will never build such a vehicle, everyone else is, including Lamborghini.

The Urus is now flowing out of the

Audi Global Model Production : 2016-17

tháng 4 28, 2018

Audi model designations are easy to follow and very compact as well. There is a nice spread of sales across the model range too. The SUV type of car is taking more share as new models are added. It now stands at 38%, just over double since 2010.

Production was down slightly with a 1% drop. The last time that happened was in 2009 and before that 1994 so not a common occurrence in recent times.
