Škoda production in the early 1990's was under 200,000 but with the advent of the Felicia model, production jumped to 240,000 in 1996. The Octavia arrived shortly after and 350,000 was reached. The Felicia was replaced by the Fabia in the year 2000 and the Superb model was introduced in 2002. By then 450,000 was approximately the volume being made.
